Virtual Fundraising Event 2019

Remembering Lewis

Welcome to our team page in memory of Lewis Wheelan. This May, we will walk in our own Steps for Life walk in memory of our brother, nephew, cousin, friend, and son, Lewis Wheelan, who died from injuries he sustained when he received severe electrical burns at his summer job in 2001. He is forever loved and forever missed.

Since 2006, we've walked in Steps for Life in memory of Lewis each year. To date, we've raised more than $6,500 for Threads of Life's family support services in memory of Lewis. Family support services we've benefited from, and that we've seen help hundreds of others in similar situations. Your ongoing support is so meaningful to our family, and is indicative of the far-reaching support we've received from family and friends over the years since that fateful day in May 2001.

This year, we'll be holding our own virtual walk -- If you would like to walk with us, you're welcome to join our team. You can join team "Remembering Lewis" by clicking the blue "Join Team" button.

If you're able to make a donation in Lewis' memory, your gift of any amount is appreciated. All funds raised through this event go to providing family support services for families after a workplace fatality, a life-altering workplace injury, or occupational disease through Threads of Life. Your charitable tax receipt will follow in an email immediately following your donation.

Thank you, as always, for your support.

*** We will meet on Sunday, May 5 @ 10am. Location has been selected, but waiting a little longer to ensure the path will be clear of snow! ***
