Team 4BOT wlll be participating again in this year's "Steps for Life - Walking for Families of Workplace Tragedy" fundraiser walk - set to take place in London on April 27, 2019 in memory of Eulogio "Bot" Gutierrez, who was tragically taken from his family and friends on November 27, 2017 due to an industrial mining accident of which involved him being struck by mobile equipment underground.
Everyday, 3 Canadian workers will die on the job due to a preventable workplace accident.
Every worker has the right to go home to their loved ones safe everyday.
With your help, you can help us fundraise to provide programs and services for Canadian families who have suffered as a result of a workplace tragedy; raising awareness in our community about the devastating ripple effects of each workplace tragedy; and promoting a cultural shift to improve health and safety in the workplace so that others will not experience a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease.
There are a thousand reasons to make change happen. We formed Team 4BOT to walk with communities across the country, united, knowing that together we are changing the future for all those affected by workplace tragedies.
The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease. Threads of Life currently supports more than 2,800 family members across Canada affected by workplace tragedies.
Steps for Life events not only raise money for these programs, they also aim to educate the community about the devastating ripple effects of each workplace tragedy and how we can work together to prevent others being injured or killed on the job.
There are a thousand ways to make a difference - become a member of our team or click the button to donate today!
Thank you for stepping up for workplace safety and remembering Bot.
